An ISCED meeting was held at the Malta Qualifications Council on the 14th May 2010. The members present for this meeting included Dr James Calleja and Ms Doris Mangion from MQC, Mr Paul Attard MCAST, Ms Veronica Grech and Mr Liberato Camilleri University of Malta, Ms Josyln Magro and Ms Erica Scerri National Statistics Office (NSO), Ms Christine Scholtz National Commission for Higher Education (NCHE), Mr Edwin Camilleri and Ms Alison Debono Employment and Training Corporation (ETC), Mr Raymond Galea and Mr Federic Pace from the Institute for Tourism Studies (ITS).
During the meeting the mapping of ISCED to the MQF was discussed. The members also went through the NSO and Eurostat correspondence about issues related to the mapping of ISCED to the MQF. The meeting also included an overview of documents related to ISCED 97 and the categorisation of main UK qualifications.
